Modular iron fence installation — estate and equestrian properties

The fence that defines a premium property — for life.

Modular iron fencing is the choice when appearance, permanence, and property value are the priority. Installed to coordinate precisely with System Fence’s driveway gate systems or around pools— swing gates, slide gates, and automated operators — modular iron creates a cohesive, high-end entrance and perimeter aesthetic that holds its value for decades.

Why Modular Iron

Permanent. Prestigious. Zero compromise on appearance.

Coordinates with System Fence’s gate systems

We install modular iron fence to match the style, height, and finish of System Fence’s driveway gate product line. Swing gates, slide gates, and automated operators are all specified to integrate seamlessly with the fence panels. One company designs, supplies, and installs the complete entrance system.

Powder-coated for permanent durability

All modular iron installations use a durable powder-coated finish that resists rust, UV fading, and weather damage. The coating is applied to the full panel before installation — not brushed on after. This is the difference between a finish that lasts decades and one that requires recoating within a few years.

Custom heights and configurations

Panel heights, rail spacing, and post sizing are all configurable to suit your property and aesthetic. We work with your preferred height and style during the quoting process and supply panels to specification.

Low maintenance for life

Modular iron requires essentially no maintenance. An occasional wash and periodic inspection of the finish is all that is needed. There is no painting, no staining, no replacing rotted posts.

Best Applications

Where modular iron makes the strongest statement.

Estate driveway borders

A long run of modular iron panels flanking a driveway, finished at the entrance with an automated gate, is the signature of a premier Ontario estate property. We install the full system — fence, gate, operator, and intercom — as a single coordinated project.

Property entrance features

Modular iron at the entrance to a horse farm or equestrian property sets the tone for the entire facility. Combined with stone pillars, lighting, or an intercom system, it creates an entrance that communicates quality before a visitor steps on the property.

Dog Runs or Feature Areas Gardens

Modular iron around a feature area, dog runs, or property front adds a level of finish that no other fence material matches. Particularly effective when the property is visible from a road.

Pool enclosures and residential estate borders

Modular iron is equally appropriate for residential estate applications — pool enclosures, garden borders, and residential property perimeters where appearance is the primary criterion.

Frequently Asked Questions

Modular iron installation — common questions.

1. What is the difference between modular iron and wrought iron?

True wrought iron is a traditional hand-forged material that is no longer commonly produced. Modular iron fencing uses modern steel fabricated into panel systems that replicate the appearance of traditional wrought iron but with greater consistency, easier installation, and better powder-coat finish options.

2. Can you match my existing gate style?

Yes. We work from your existing gate style, finish, and dimensions to specify fence panels that coordinate. Bring photos or dimensions to your consultation and we will confirm compatibility before quoting.

3. Does modular iron rust?

Quality modular iron with a professionally applied powder-coat finish is highly rust-resistant. The coating seals the steel from moisture. Any chips or scratches in the finish should be touched up promptly to prevent spot rust. With normal care, a quality powder-coated iron fence will last for decades without significant rust.

4. Can modular iron fence include an automated gate?

Yes — and we recommend quoting the fence and gate as a single system. System Fencing’s gate division installs automated swing and slide gate operators (LiftMaster, Nice) with intercom and keypad access systems that are all specified to match the modular iron fence aesthetic.
